TIM TOPALOV: PSC EDUCATIONAL MURAL

Mason’s Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center and Murals at Mason have commissioned artist Tim Topalov to design and paint a highly-detailed 170-foot-long scientific mural for the exterior dockside wall of the Potomac Science Center on Occoquan River in Woodbridge.

The mural depicts the life and impact of a river from source to sea. It demosntrates the ecosystems that form around flowing bodies of water, the inter-relationship between nature and humanity, and the multiplicity of life that rivers foster. This mural synthesizes art and science by visually illuminating the importance of scientific endeavors to the world.
