About the Exhibition

Reflections in Black and White is a collection of highly detailed drawings that reinterpret masterworks from the classical canon through the lenses of science fiction, comic books, and anime. Through his work, Kevin Jones explores new truths found in the re-examination of historical imagery and artistic traditions.
Drawing on the principles of Afro-Futurism, the exhibition engages themes of Black erasure while imagining expansive new narratives and possibilities.
